What is BMI?

BMI (Body Mass Index) is an internationally commonly used standard to measure whether a person is underweight, normal, overweight, or obese. The formula is weight (kg) divided by height (m) squared.

How to interpret BMI results?

Generally, BMI < 18.5 is underweight, 18.5-24.9 is normal, 25-29.9 is overweight, and ≥30 is obese. Note that BMI is not applicable to pregnant women, athletes, and other special populations.
